The Hop Garden SOLO show - This is such a nice cozy space (in the loft), and only lightly amped, so I thought it would be fun to do an ALL ACOUSTIC (guitar) show, for the first time in ages! But I still like to include songs you'd normally hear on keys...I love working up unique guitar versions. I'll be playing favorites from Carole King, Elton John, Joni Mitchell, Sarah Bareilles, Kacey Musgraves, Heart, and lots more, including a few others you wouldn't expect to hear on just acoustic guitar. I might throw in a few originals too. (I just did a guitar-only show down in NC last week so have been spending a lot of quality time with guitar lately.) |

Mike will join in on some tunes with Top Shelf, and the evening will also include some special arrangements we are working to About Mike: Mike went to UW-Madison on a music clinic scholarship back in the '80s, having soloed several times with both the Madison Memorial and WI Youth Symphonies. He was a collegiate rowing coach for 14 years, including three stints as an assistant at UW, and is currently a full time realtor. But with the rise in popularity of acts like "Two Cellos" he has been reinvigorated to start playing again, only this time it's classic rock instead of classical! Mike is excited to join with Tracy & Alan and Top Shelf in this new adventure!
