- January 10 (Sat), 8:00 pm: Opening for Cathy Barton & David Para (Madison Folk Music Society concert event), to be held at Immanual Lutheran, 1021 Spaight Street, Madison. See Mad Folk's web site for details.
- January 25 (Sun), 2:00-3:00pm: Performing with Sticky Fingers at Olbrich Gardens (uh, indoors), 3330 Atwood Ave, Madison, WI. Small cover charge.
- February 7 (Sat): Appearing at the 2nd Annual Fondy Acoustic Music Fest as a finalist in their songwriting competition (between 12:00 and 2:00 pm) and for a 20-minute performance set (3:40 pm). The festival will be held at the UW-Fond du Lac Campus from 12 noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2004.
- February 26-29:I'll be attending the North American Folk Alliance convention in San Diego!
- March 6 (Sat), 9:00-11:00 am(yes, AM): Performing at the Dane County Winter Farmer's Market, held at the Madison Senior Center on Mifflin Street.
- March 9 (Tue), 11:00-11:30 am:Live performance/talk on WORT Radio (89.9 FM) in Madison. CELIA will also be there to perform and chat, and we'll be promoting the March 13 show. Tune in!
- March 12 (Fri), 9:00 pm:Catch me on TV tonight for some brief music segments during the 9:00 newscast on WBUW 57-Madison (Charter Cable Channel 15)!
- March 13 (Sat), 8:00 pm: Opening a show for CELIA at the Electric Earth Café, 546 W. Washington Ave, Madison, WI (608) 255-2310. $10 in advance, $12 at the door, $8 students. (GROUP DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE.) Celia recently released her debut recording, Breathe, produced by the fabulous Willy Porter. Her lively show will include stories and songs.
- MARCH 16 (Tue), 8:00 pm to midnight - Singer/Songwriter Showcase - Luther's French Quarter Cafe, 1401 University Ave in Madison - Featuring fabulous area musicians Eric Hester, Mike Massey (www.mikemassey.biz), and Amy Curl, plus myself as performer and host for the evening. This should be a great, lively show! Full dinners will be available to patrons until 10 pm; there will be table and chair seating for your comfort. $3 cover.
- March 20 (Sat), 8:00 pm: Cafe Carpe (18 South Water Street in Fort Atkinson, WI) -- CD Release Party for the One on One CD now out on the Spiritone Record label. The concert event will feature performances by several of the artists featured on the recording (including myself). Cafe Carpe has a casual atmosphere, great food, and a full bar. The music events are held in a cozy listening room to the side of the main dining section, so come early for dinner before the show. Or, enjoy some cheesecake and coffee or drinks during the show in the side room.
- March 28 (Sun), 2004, 7:30 pm: Not performing, but attending the Madison Area Music Awards Ceremony as a final nominee in two categories: Best Acoustic Artist and Best Acoustic Album (for Second Wind).
- April 2 (Fri), 8:00 pm:Wild Hog in the Woods (Jenifer Street, Madison): I'll be making a cameo appearance supporting Nelson Graham and friends. Nelson has just released a short CD of two "live" songs on which I played cello and sang backup.
- April 13 (Tue), 11:00-11:30 am:Live performance/talk on WORT Radio (89.9 FM) in Madison. I'll be joining several artists who contributed to One on One CD. Tune in!
- April 16 (Fri) - THERE IS NO SHOW ON THIS DATE! There was an erroneous listing in the Mad Folk News regarding a show on April 16 at Luther's French Quarter. That was a mistake/repeat listing of the March 16 show (see above) - there is not a show on April 16! The next show at Luther's will be May 13 (see below).
Otherwise, I'm taking some time off for writing, studio work and some personal travel.

- May 13 (Thu), 8:00 pm to midnight - Singer/Songwriter Showcase: Luther's French Quarter Cafe, 1401 University Ave in Madison - Featuring fabulous area musicians Mike Massey (www.mikemassey.biz) and Amy Curl who are both mainly piano-based, plus Michael Gruber, who is an excellent fingerstyle guitarist and singer/songwriter, and myself (mostly with guitar) as performer and host for the evening. The first show of this kind on March 16 was a tremendous success so the venue has asked us back! The bar will be open continuously and dinner will be available until 10 pm; there will be table and chair seating for your comfort. $5 cover, or just $2 for students with IDs in honor of final exam week (so take a study break!).
- May 22 (Sat), 7:00-9:00 pm: Mississippi Mug, 371 Bluff St, Dubuque, IA. Double header show -- I'm sharing the evening with a delightful acoustic duo, Robert A. & Helen. Come have a cold beer or a hot cuppa coffee at this lovely new venue, and check out the owner's pottery work while you're there. There are a number of other nice shops on this quaint street as well.

Shared show with fantastic songwriters/performers Dorothy Zerby and Victoria Davitt - we'll alternate sets and do a final round-robin. Tickets are $7.50 in advance or $9.50 at the door.
- December 5 (Sun), 4:00-7:00 pm: CD RELEASE PARTY in Dubuque, IA, at the Rafters (2728 Asbury Road, Dubuque, 563-556-4800) Steaks, chops, seafood and so much more located in a beautifully restored building! No cover. There will be some drawings for door prizes. The wonderful and fun acoustic duo Robert A. and Helen will open the show.
